- 2 Tbsp. Land O’ Lakes light butter made with canola oil® or light butter
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1 1/4 cups skim milk
- 2 Tbsp. fat free cream
- 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
- 2 oz. 1/3 less fat cream cheese
- 3 oz. grated parmesan cheese
- 2 Tbsp. chopped fresh or dried parsley
1.Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Whisk in flour until lightly browned, about 1 minute. Gradually whisk in milk until incorporated, about 1-2 minutes.
2.Stir in half and half and garlic powder until slightly thickened, about 1 minute.
3.Stir in cheeses until melted, about 1-2 minutes. If the mixture is too thick, add more milk as needed; season with salt and pepper, to taste.
Tip: Serve over 1 cup spaghetti, spaghetti squash or zucchini noodles
