Garlic Butter Breadsticks

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup self-rising flour (I use gold medal)
  • 1 cup plain nonfat Greek yogurt ( I use Fage or Trader Joe’s)
  • 1 tsp onion salt
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Egg wash (1 tsp water mixed with one beaten egg)
  • 2 Tbsp Land o’ Lakes light butter made with canola oil or any light butter
  • 1 tsp Italian Seasoning ( I use Daks Italian Blast)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  1. Directions:
Preheat oven to 400°. Combine flour and greek yogurt, garlic powder, and onion salt
  2. Sprinkle a little extra flour on the tabletop or whatever surface you plan on using to knead the dough. Place the dough ball on top, kneading it with your hands. If it sticks to your hands, sprinkle a little extra flour on it. Knead for 3-5 times, until it’s a pliable dough.
  3. Spray a pizza dough roller with non stick cooking and roll out dough on a parchment-lined baking sheet until dough is about 1/2 inch thick.
  4. Using a pizza cutter, cut the dough into 6 strips. Spray the top of each dough strip with non-stick cooking spray or you brush the tops with egg wash to brown the tops.
  5. Cook for 15-20 minutes or until lightly brown.
  6. In a microwaveable bowl combine light butter, Italian seasoning and garlic powder. Melt butter in microwave for 30 seconds.
  7. Using a basting brush, brush tops of each breadstick with melted butter.
Serving: Makes 6 breadsticks / 2 Freestyle SmartPoints® each.

It took me 3 times as well to get to goal. The third time I finally was able to make it a lifestyle. I’ve been able to stay on track for the past 2 years due to not feeling deprived!! Thanks for the sweet support!
